Art Around the World: NOTRE DAME — An in-depth look at NOTRE DAME. I've used this in grades 1-12, adjusting the information and skill level appropriately. What a great lesson as part of my Art Around the World unit. I've combined all the best facts I can with images for 3 pages. Then we have 14 pages of images that are enlarged for print or digital display. At the end I have 2 different coloring pages, a Notre Dame project where it's laid out what we did and a step-by-step how to for younger students. All my grades enjoyed learning the little tie-bits of history in this world-famous cathedral and the challenge of drawing architecture adds dimension to an art program. This project is just one of several that base in France.
