Practice shading! — Using Kazimir Malevich's Woodcutter painting, students try copying the shapes and curves and then shading them in. Included is are enlarged images for print or digital display. Includes a short tie bit on the artist. Great for warm up to introduce a more in depth lesson or use by itself. Great for early finishers, sub plan, etc. as it's pretty straight forward. I like to combine in to my shading lessons.
