If ancient art artifacts could speak, they might tell you about themselves. Can you guess when and where these faces come from? Students try to guess and answer the country of origin, who it might be and when.
 
This worksheet is a great introduction to Ancient Art History and includes the worksheet and enlarged pictures of art for copying, display, etc. In the teacher's notes are explanations of each artwork and information that will help interest students. 
 
I've used this before introducing world art, sculpture and ancient art. I use this format because it sparks students interest and is always a little fun while they're trying to guess when and what they are.
