Boredom Buster: Creative Ice Cream Cartons 🍨
Sometimes the best projects come from a little down time and a lot of imagination. Our middle and high schoolers needed a breather, so we handed them a simple challenge: design your own ice cream carton… but make the flavor totally ridiculous. Think “Cactus Crunch,” “Spaghetti Swirl,” or “Glow-in-the-Dark Grape.” The results were hilarious and so creative!
They designed packaging, invented flavors, and had full creative freedom on layout and lettering. And the best part? Younger students loved checking them out on display—instant art room buzz.
Why it works: It's low-pressure, highly creative, and gives students the chance to play with design, color, and typography. Bonus: it’s a great stress reliever during testing season or the final weeks of school.
