Jasper Johns - pop artist BUNDLE. Everything you need for a full curriculum/lesson. File is 22 pages and includes:
• Artist Intro and fact sheet - great for discussion and vocabulary and several prints of his best work for display.
• Worksheet #1 is an art analysis for students to complete, they choose their favorite Jasper Johns artwork, sketch it, and answer questions about it.
• Worksheet #2 gets students looking at Jasper Johns "Numbers" paintings and then they think about their own numbers and do 3 thumbnails in preparation for the project.
• The final project is done in 3 steps - visual sheet included as well as a color wheel and stencils for reference. Students will need: paper, pencils, watercolor paper, brushes, watercolor paint, colored pencils. This project works in analogous and complimentary colors. Students also practice shading as the final step.
I use this worksheet in a cooking unit before we begin since safety is #1!
