GRAPHIC DESIGN — It's tricky to find solid graphic design curriculum. Just software alone differs between platforms, companies etc. I developed this skill building worksheet so it will work with any software from Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, DoJo, freeware etc. It has students recreate what's on the page. You can either make them figure it out or use it as a step-by-step tutorial where you are showing them. I find a happy medium in between. There is often more than one way to recreate these using the various skills, tools and shortcuts you can show as a teacher. Shapes begin very basic and move through more intermediate.
 
This also helps my students because I find they do not retain the information unless they do it over and over on their own. This engages their thinking, problem solving and processing abilities to figure out how to create these shapes.
 
In addition to teaching, I have over 30 years of professional experience in graphic design. The resources I have developed come from those years of working in the field and my desire is prepare students to be ready for the "real-world" experience of a career in design.
